Everyday Spring

Everyday Spring

The sun is shining brightly and I just returned from a little spring shopping out at the mall.  This sunshine, along with the melting snow, sure gets me in the mood. =)

Today's post is simply a great everyday look for spring, and even now to help you get in the mood.  A pulled together look for errands, shopping, lunch, casual work or whatever the day may hold.  Soak up that vitamin D, if you're in the same neck of the woods as me, and enjoy the day!

p.s. The button down shirt is from Gap, for some reason the link didn't come up.

In Between Weather

In Between Weather

crewneck sweatshirt
GAP skinny fit jeans
topsiders shoes
Bracelets bangle

Well, here we are in March!  The month I have the hardest dressing for.  I'm sick of the winter garb and boots, but it's not warm enough for the spring gear yet, and plus I need a little color before exposing any limbs!  Here's a great look to inspire you for the in between  weather.  Keep it neutral,  then add a pop of color with the fun red Sperry's.  You could also choose to add a pop of color with a scarf or necklace.  In the mean time, we'll keep biding our time till spring officially arrives.

Perfect Pastels

Perfect Pastels

Long sleeve top
Peplum tank
rolled up pants
striped flat
jewelry
scarve

Easter is only a few weeks away, and if there's any year to pull off the easter egg look, this is it!  Pastels are super trendy right now, and you'll see them paired often with neons or bright colors. If that's a little too much for you go the safe route with a classic neutral like grey, white or camel. The bonus with all of my favorite pastel finds today is that they're all from Target or Old Navy (minus the necklace).  Making it super easy for you guys to get your hands on them, at an awesome price!

Well, since we've started talking about Spring trends, and let's face it anything that brings hope that Spring is just around the corner I am all for, I thought we would keep it rolling.
Coral is another trend for Spring, so whether you want to go big with the coral pants, or ease into with a fun, bright bag you won't go wrong incorporating a little coral into your closet this Spring!

Neon for Spring

Neon for Spring

flat heels
arch shoes
oversized handbag
Earrings
teardrop jewelry
belt

I know there are days when spring feels like it will never come, but trust me it will!  And when it does, we want our closets to be ready, right?!  Neon is all the rage for Spring so I thought I would offer you a few small ways to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe, without breaking the bank.  As I often say at my speaking engagements, not every trend works for everyone, and they are just that, trends.  So, participate if you like, or just wait for the next one!  (the J. Crew studs are my fav., they come in all different colors and are reasonably priced).

It's time to break another one of those old fashion rules, ladies.  Guess what? You really can wear white and cream together.  That being said, women usually look better in one or other from a skin tone perspective (unless you're blessed with a darker complexion), but from a fashion perspective you can totally mix them. Have fun!

Beach Dreams

Beach Dreams

dress
maxi dress
swimsuit
print shoes
animal shoes
chandelier earrings

Well, I thought I would continue my warm weather day dreaming today with two great beach looks, created around one adorable J. Crew swimsuit.  I love the lines of this suit (especially for those who are looking to disguise their tummy). Aren't you totally digging the one shoulder look? So flattering, and available in a variety of beautiful, rich jewel tone colors.  Gorgeous!
