Spring weather usually requires layers or a light jacket, and I don't think you can find one much better than this!  Everyone should have a great spring jacket or coat to get them over the hump from winter to summer.  I love the slouchy, effortless look of this jacket, which can be worn as outerwear but also as the perfect centerpiece of your outfit.  It would make a great addition to any spring wardrobe.

Bright blazers are all the rage this Spring.  Here's a great way to incorporate  one into your work wardrobe while still keeping it appropriate and not too over the top for the office.  You can also swap out the dress pants for boyfriend jeans or cut offs and presto chango, you're ready for the weekend.

Sometimes after the weekend, I just don't feel real inspired to get dressed, or to put on any clothing that doesn't give me grace from my overeating binge that weekend.  Cue the music... that's when I say maxi skirt to the rescue! 

This is a great maxi skirt. I love the lines, they're very figure flattering. The skirt works great for all ages, and  transitions well with the seasons.  Did I mention it's super comfy AND stylish?  By the way, you can always forgo the belt (if it's been a really bad weekend) and tuck the shirt in, either all the way, or with a half tuck.

It's time for the weekend!  Now that it's feels like Spring, rather than Summer, here in West Michigan this is a great look for the first weekend of Spring.  I love this soft color combo of cream, turquoise and coral.

Orange is having it's moment in the sun this Spring.  Whether you prefer tangerine, peach, neon or Hope College, there is something out there for all of you orange lovers.  Now, I do have to say that I can not wear orange (like many of you), and it's actually my least favorite color (which works well, considering it looks horrid on me) so I will not be partaking in this momentary fashion trend.  But, for those of you who will be endulging here are a few of my favorite finds in orange.

What a super cute look for my teacher friends!  Fun, professional and comfy.  There is so much you can do with this dress - wear it with bare legs, leggings, over skinny jeans, or with cuffed denim - white or colored.  You can belt it or not, wear any type of shoe you can imagine.  Lots and lots of options, girls! 
No teaching certificate need to love this look though, I'm drooling over it, myself.

This is a great dress for transitioning seasons.  As you can see it can easily be worn with tights and a sweater for winter/spring and then with sandals heading into summer.  A tip for creating a chic look is to keep your outfit monochromatic and then add pops of color as accents.

My oldest baby turns 11 yrs. old today.  Wow, I can't believe it.  I'm starting to feel like one of those old people who always tells you to "enjoy it while they're young, because it goes so fast."  It seems like just the other day she was heading off to preschool.  Sigh.  Okay, enough mush.

I did a special post for my youngest daughter on her birthday, so in the spirit of fairness here's a post for my most favorite "tween" Hope!  She has tons of style, personality and an amazing heart for people and the Lord, to boot!
