So, are you ready for fall, or are you hanging on for dear life to summer?  I'm a summer gal, shorts and tanks are my thing, so I'm always sad to see them go, and the jean season seems oh so long.  Thank goodness we have so many different pant/jean options to choose from these days, and I am looking forward to sharing some of them with you in the upcoming weeks and months, here on the blog.  But, for now I'm hanging on to these last days of summer, so here's another great transitional outfit for now and later.  Have a great week, everyone!

Happy Friday, everyone!  Are you looking forward to a lazy summer weekend or is your schedule jammed packed with things to do?  Whether you're in a rush to head out the door to the Farmer's Market, the park, weekend at the cottage, or anything in between here's an easy summer go to look.  Bonus tip - tie the shirt in a little knot or tuck in the front of your shirt to keep it looking cute and sassy instead of frumpy and dumpy.

Mother/Daughter Beauty Bash Fun!

Here are a few pictures from our first Mother/Daughter Beauty Bash earlier this week, over at my house.  I posted these on my facebook page earlier in the week, but I know many of you readers are not fans of my page, so I thought I would share them here as well.  We had such a blast!  The girls may kill me for posting the pic of them with their beauty masks on, but it's just too cute to resist!  I don't have any pics of my section of the evening, but here are the girls getting some great skin care tips from Mary Kay Director, Tracey DeKraker.

Here's a pic of all the moms and their daughters. So beautiful, aren't they?!  I can't believe these girls are all starting 7th grade in a few weeks!  My daughter, Hope is wearing the white shirt and mint cropped jeans, in case you're wondering.  It's a good thing I'm wearing a wedge heel because she's just as tall as I am!

Here's a great way to make those wardrobe staples work for you multiple seasons.  Swap out the BR silk blouse for the J Crew sweater, and when that tan fades away and the air gets a bit crisp throw on a pair of black opaque tights, these killer leopard heels and this summer look will last you well into fall. Now that I'm thinking about it, when the snow starts to fly throw a great blazer over the sweater or a colorful cardigan over the blouse and viola! So many options I can hardly stand it.

A New Service! Mother/Daughter Beauty Bash

Hi everyone!  I'm back from vacation and excited to share with you a new service I'm offering!  I've been dreaming about it for awhile now and am excited to be getting started!  I'm partnering with Mary Kay Director extraordinaire, Tracey DeKraker, to put together a really fun night for moms and daughters (aimed at middle school to high school). 

What's better than beauty, fun and special mother, daughter time! Come prepared to be pampered with Mary Kay facials from Tracey DeKraker. Learn great skin care routines as well as some fun glamour tips appropriate for those in attendance (focusing on the natural look). I will be talking to moms and daughters about how to develop your own personal style, age appropriate dress, achieving modesty while staying trendy, as well as how to navigate those clothing battles! And of course plenty of fun fashion tips. Feel free to bring clothing from home that you have questions about (you too mom)!"

If any of you would be interested hosting a party of your own, along with your daughter, let me know!  The hostesses are free with 10 additional guests (and they also receive a discount on Mary Kay product).  Otherwise the cost is $5/person or $10 per mom/daughter duo.   This would make a great birthday party idea too!

I can't believe the Fourth of July is this week, already!  Why is it that summer just flies by and winter seems to drag on FOREVER!  Oh well, I'm just going to be in the moment and soak up each ray of sun and fun!  Here's what you're likely to see me in at the fireworks later this week (hopefully with my swimsuit still underneath from a great day on the beach!).  Have a great week everyone!
